Do I need a passport?Yes, you will need a valid U.S. Passport to travel. Please ensure that your passport does not expire within six months of your departure date. Allow sufficient time for having a passport issued, or renewed. Note: International aviation regulations require that the name on the airline ticket must exactly match the name on the passport. During the cruise the Purser will keep the passports in order to carry out port and immigration formalities at each port visited. Passports are collected upon boarding and are returned to your when you disembark.

Where do I fly into?The start and finish port for this cruise is in Bridgetown, Barbados. Plan to fly to the Grantley Adams International Airport (BGI) on or before March 9, 2024. Embarkation begins at 4 pm. All guests must be on board the ship by 6:30 pm. Debarkation begins at 7:30 am on March 16th. If you plan to depart on March 16th, plan to fly out of Barbados NO EARLIER than noon. The airport is about 20 minutes from the cruise terminal by taxi.

Do you have a hotel suggestion in Barbados?There are many incredible hotels and resorts on the beautiful island of Barbados. One of our favorite hotels is the Hilton Barbados Resort. This Hilton Resort is conveniently located a few miles away from the cruise port. It has a private beach and very nice accommodations. The address is: Needham's Point, Bridgetown BB11000, Barbados.

How do we get ashore at ports?When the ship is at anchor, you will be disembarked by tenders or zodiacs, which require good physical condition. Sometimes the disembarkation involves a wet landing. We recommend that you bring appropriate footwear.

What is the dress code?The dress code for all excursions is casual. The dress on-board the ship is causal, however, shorts are not accepted in the Dining Room. Gentlemen are requested to wear shirts with collar and sleeves.

Will I get seasick?The ship is stabilized with anti-roll tanks and bilge keels to minimize the movement of the ship and prevent any unpleasant sensations or discomfort that may be caused by such movement. You will feel the ship's motion at times. This motion effects each individual differently. If you are concerned that the motion may impact your cruise, you may consider picking up some medication from your local pharmacy to bring along.

How should I travel with my medication?It is recommended that you carry medication in its original packaging along with the doctor’s prescription, as this may be requested when clearing customs or immigration. Please keep your medication with you in your hand luggage. Passengers requiring special medical care are encouraged to inform Star Clippers in writing prior to departure. The crew will be informed and will be able to assist where needed.
